This tiny vape is a wonderful option for discreet smokers. Here's the full breakdown.
The HIT is Yocan’s newest entry into the dry herb vaporizer market. We’ve seen them produce wax concentrate vaporizers over the past couple years, and the Yocan HIT vaporizer is their newest entry into the dry herb vaporizer market since their iShred.
Any pocket should support this just fine. It is good to reduce carry size as a portable device for vaporizing dry herbs. Very small and wonderfully portable. While it’s not nearly as narrow as an oil pen, it’s still very portable and easy to carry around.
The Yocan wax vaporizers are also pretty amazing if you’re not feeling the dry herb life.
As with most new toys this little guy comes with all the basics:
Budget dry herb vapes are pretty simple to use. And the Yocan HIT is no different. Using it doesn’t take much learning and passing it off to strangers or friends for a quick hit requires little in the way of coaching.
It’d be nice if everyone read the manual how they should, but just in case, here’s how the Yocan HIT vaporizer works. Like the iShred before it and other conduction vaporizers, the Yocan Hit likes to be loaded with medium-fine ground material and packed down a bit to help the conduction heat work.
You can cycle between all the temperature settings with the two buttons on the side. To stop/start heating, hold the power button down for two seconds. You can change between 3 and 5-minute heat session modes by holding both power and down buttons at the same time.
Keeping the Yocan vape clean is simple, too. Just use the included cleaning brush to scrub the chamber and mouthpiece out with ease. After every few handfuls of sessions, we recommend using a cotton swab dipped in isopropyl alcohol to really clean out any grime and gunk properly.
It looks a lot like an e-cig pen that you’ve seen everywhere. Most people won’t think twice if they see you taking a hit from it. The only factor you’ll really have to worry about is the smell.
Unfortunately, the smell is the one thing about dry herb vapes, but it’s still nothing major though. You’d have to be clever to pinpoint the odor.
These features make Yocan HIT vaporizer a great tool to have on the go for dry herb vaporization. So, if you need a vaporizer you can rely on for on-the-fly vaporization of your dry herb strains, make sure to pack a Yocan HIT vaporizer with you.
The Yocan HIT vaporizer uses superior convection heating to heat your dry herb strains in a small and compact chamber. Convection heating allows you to enjoy the best results from your botanical dry herb by using hot air instead of using a heated surface that will most likely end up burning your herbs if you don’t pay attention when vaping with conduction ovens.
With its precision temperature control, you can easily select the best temperature profile so you can enjoy the best flavor notes or the most potent rips from your selected herb.
To ensure that you get an even burn regardless of the premium convection heating, Yocan’s HIT vaporizer is equipped with a built-in stir tool to allow you to easily mix the herbs inside the chamber without ever having to lift the mouthpiece.
The integrated stir stick is an awesome feature. We’d love to see more manufacturers integrate it. For best efficiency, we recommend stirring the chamber around halfway through the session.
This uses the new USB-C standard, which is appreciated. However, only 1400mAh of juice is packed inside. This is fine for most cases and you’ll get about 4-6 sessions per charge. This device will charge in roughly 1.5 hours. If we had to pick a weak spot on the device, it’s probably the fact that the battery is not removable and small to begin with.
The Yocan HIT vaporizer is an interesting little device. It looks pretty cool and it performs well with nice and tasty vapor. It has good battery life, feels solid in the hand, and it’s not bad on the wallet either. Build quality is nice but I prefer something with more customization options.
