Sipping on luxury.
The cannabis industry is constantly expanding, especially the cannabis-infused beverage sector which seems to be grabbing the attention of big players and corporations.
The latest deal is between Canadian cannabis producer Flora Growth Corp (FLGC.O), which just recently signed a licensing agreement with luxury goods brand Tonino Lamborghini. This isn’t a team you’d see every day, and their mission is just as exciting.
The partnership comes from both companies wanting to delve into the cannabis-infused beverage market, and they will soon be selling cannabidiol-infused beverages. Flora Growth said in a statement on Monday that its new CBD beverages with Lamborghini will be sold in North America and Colombia.
The first beverage from the new partnership will be a coffee infused with cannabidiol (CBD), which is quite ironic since coffee is usually a stimulant, and CBD is known to relax the user and calm their nerves and jitters.

Ferruccio Lamborghini is the grandson and chief executive officer of Tonino Lamborghini, and he wrote in an email that the cannabis market represents a “very interesting niche and we intend to offer a different luxury experience.” We can’t wait to see how luxurious a cannabis-infused beverage can be.
Ferrucio added in the email that his company isn’t new to the coffee sector, and they’ve even been producing and partnering with coffee companies for the past 30 years. The company’s line of premium espresso blends has done incredibly well.
Now, Tonino Lamborghini is a unit of Volkswagen VOWG_p.DE. The company is not affiliated with the carmaker since its merger with Volkswagen. Tonino Lamborghini is currently run by the family and descendants of the original founder.
The family couldn’t have made a better move; not only is the new CBD coffee beverage a perfect luxurious reflection of the brand, but it will surely help them establish early dominance in the drinks market. Even the top cannabis operators in North America are trying to get their foot in the door.

The urgency for companies trying to plant themselves in the cannabis beverage industry comes from research firm BDS Analytics, which expects sales of cannabis-infused beverages to be worth $1.4 billion by 2025.
Flora Growth said in a statement that it will produce the new coffee in Florida and will sell it throughout the United States. They added that wherever cannabis-based products are legal, the new CBD coffee will be there by the first quarter of 2022.
