Nights Of The Jack Experience Returns Throughout October

Eerily hidden in the Santa Monica Mountains lays thousands of jack-o-lanterns, creepy music, wolf howls, and witch cackles, all of which lurk in the shadows of the flickering pumpkin faces.

Throughout October, the King Gillette Ranch in Calabasas will be transformed into the immersive Nights of the Jack Experience for this year’s spooky season. The event will run on select evenings through Oct. 31 and includes a two-thirds-of-a-mile trail wide enough for guests to social distance and witness the detailed visuals.

Due to Covid-19, last year’s event was a reimagined drive-thru experience. However, co-creator Bobby Rossi says he’s excited to get things back up and running regularly for this year’s event.

“It’s the way we intended it to be experienced,” he said during an interview on opening night. “We’re excited to have people out here experiencing it again with all five senses and being able to engage in the food trucks and bars, check out the master carver or see the psychic.”

Nights of the Jack Experience is open from 6-10 p.m. All tickets are purchased online to allow for spaced-out attendance. Guests can check out the dozen of local food trucks, spaced-out picnic tables, and a bar for those of age.

The event also features a gift shop, oversized wooden Halloween cutouts, and a psychic. The bales of hay are perfect for photo ops, and guests can even watch a master pumpkin carver sculpt a jack-o-lantern. Visit the website for more information here.
