Abel’s new mansion was previously owned by Dutch media entrepreneur Reinout Oerlemans and his wife, Danielle. In love with their 33,000 square foot home, the couple had no intention to sell when approached by real estate agents Rayni and Branden Williams. After some thorough negotiation, Rayni believed that the 1.6-acre property would suit the young recording artist perfectly.

The property overlooks the stunning Bel-Air Country Club while featuring amenities such as a spa with a sauna, an indoor pool, an outdoor infinity pool with a waterfall, a movie theater, a home gym, and of course, a recording studio. According to the Wall Street Journal, Tesfaye’s recent purchase marks one of the largest deals closed in the city this year.
The Weeknd enjoys spending big bucks on real estate, as in late 2019, the recording artist dropped $25 million on an 8,215 square foot penthouse in Beverly Hills with four bedrooms and four corner balconies.
