Merging the finest California cannabis with culture, food, and music in one exciting evening.
Please give a big round of applause for the 18th annual Emerald Cup, celebrating California’s finest cannabis. This time around, The Emerald Cup is moving to the renowned and recently opened Green Street building rooftop as part of the space’s Green Street Festival on May 14, 2022.
For years, the event celebrated California, the culture, and the renowned flower grown in the state. Now, as it moves to the Green Street building, that notion is amplified. Green Street is home to several offices, art galleries, and on-site consumption spaces that allow relationship building, collaboration, a stress-free environment, and celebrating cannabis.

The current deadline for entering products in The Emerald Cup is February 11, so get those goodies in before it’s too late! Author and Emerald Cup founder Tim Blake told L.A. Weekly that this is a “historic moment” for the city, as Green Street begins welcoming cannabis consumers into their space for related events in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles.
There are usually several events that lead up to the Emerald Cup, but with the ongoing pandemic, these experiences were put on hold. However, judges and executives were persistent in meeting on zoom and searching for which products had the greatest impact in 2021. Back and better than ever, Blake mentioned that the “triumphant return” of the renowned Emerald Cup could not have been done without the partners at Green Street, helping the event focus on California at its core and the finest cannabis grown here.

Blake told L.A. Weekly that his team is “eager to unify [California’s] northern and southern communities” as they continue to raise awareness and recognize “the best of California cannabis.” By merging the Emerald Cup with Green Street, we should expect to see a heightened cannabis experience this year regarding the plant itself and the culture we know and love.
In a press release, Green Street founder Rama Mayo said that with the Emerald Cup coming to his space, he’s proud to focus “on the heritage and community that enhances the experience” Green Street has to offer. He said not only will “Cannabis always be the headliner,” but we should all come to experience the celebration of California’s finest herb along with food, music, and inspiration all in one place.
